Out with the old, In with the new intentions

Friday, January 10th, 2014

First of all, happy New Year and welcome to 2014! I hope it will become your most fulfilling, lucrative, successful and joyful year yet! I am really not sure what happened to 2013 or my resolution to consistently post interesting, entertaining and insightful posts to this blog. I believe this is proof, once again, that […]

Embracing “Constructive Feedback”

Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013

Did you notice that September was a bit of an odd month? I don’t think it was just me as most of my associates and clients reported strange glitches – from technology meltdowns to interpersonal miscommunications to professional missteps. Whether it was coincidental, astrological or imaginary, I found that along with the challenges emerged some fascinating insights. Most enlighteningly, I may have finally learned how to process “constructive feedback” in a balanced, healthy, non-self-kicking manner. At first I thought it was a fluke, but of course then I got multiple opportunities to validate this newfound skill (aren’t I lucky!)

Craft Your Vision Statement, Get Inspired!

Monday, February 8th, 2010

As the first month of the first year of the new decade drew to a close it wasn’t just my clients thinking about “what’s next”.   Perhaps because I am celebrating eight years in business this month – wow, really, EIGHT?! – I’ve found myself drawn to every possible reflective, strategizing and planning exercise I […]

Oh All the Places You’ve Come From

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

I was recently interviewed for a book about living a passionate, purposeful life (what an honor!)  And although I daily catch myself being grateful for where I am, it must have been a while since I consciously contemplated how much I’ve accomplished in the past eight years as an entrepreneur.  I suddenly had an epiphany…  […]

It must be love!

Friday, February 27th, 2009

I have a confession to make – I am completely and utterly in love, bordering on obsession! I am experiencing a crazy mix of emotions on hourly – sometimes momentary basis – excitement, delight, nervousness, fear, gratitude and more excitement. My mind is constantly racing. It’s even beginning to affect my dreams! I envision a […]

Making a tough decision? Flip a coin!

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

I was facing an interesting dilemma this week: whether to stay in Washington on January 20th, the much-anticipated Inauguration Day. The same day for which millions of people are paying thousands of dollars! And it would be FREE for me since I live right here. Except I need to get to a conference in Florida […]

Quotes to live by

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

I had completely forgotten that I was asked long ago to contribute a motivational quote to a calendar for female entrepreneurs. How interesting that today, the historic election day ’08, is when my quote appears on the calendar and their website www.womenentrepreneur.com. “To stay motivated, make a list of your “have dones” at the end […]

Get Rid of Performance Reviews?!

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

I really enjoyed this article in the Wall Street Journal about eliminating those awful annual performance appraisals.  Brought back all kinds of not-so pleasant memories along with validation for why we do what we do at Incite! I remember, back in the corporate world, how anxious my colleagues and I felt whenever our annual reviews […]

Refreshing Outlook on the Economy

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

Among the countless doom and gloom reports and predictions on the current state of economy, some voices still resonate hope. I really enjoyed this recent article in Business Week by my friend Peter Justin. Peter is a sharp, seasoned entrepreneur, not a naive hopeful novice. So I especially trust and appreciate his educated analysis of […]

Girl Power video

Monday, October 13th, 2008

In case you haven’t seen this video yet http://www.girleffect.org/#/video/, I found it extremely powerful and touching. In today’s world – as reflected by daily headlines proclaiming despair and panic – it’s empowering to know that some of us ARE thinking about making a difference in the world. Even if we begin with helping one child.
