After meeting the dynamic and articulate Executive Director of Higher Achievement Lynsey Jeffries at a recent conference, I was compelled to invite her to be interviewed for our podcast! For those who are not familiar with Higher Achievement, it’s a fantastic DC-based non-profit that provides middle school children from underserved areas year-round academic enrichment programs that prepare them for high school success (and beyond).

Lynsey and her team are currently working on growing the organization to several other cities around the country, starting with Baltimore. What impressed me most about Lynsey was her pragmatic, strategic and visionary approach to growing the organization – it was reminiscent of the most shrewd of business people I’ve encountered.
