Internet icon Yanik Silver and teen business coach Shonika Proctor are challenging teens to apply for a free pass to the Underground Online Seminar: a weekend conference where people like GoDaddy.com`s Bob Parsons and billion-dollar shoe empire Zappos.com`s Tony Hseih will share how they built profitable online companies.
“10 kids will be a part of it so they can take their businesses to a whole new level of sophistication and profitability,” says Yanik Silver, who himself started with a few hundred…

When it comes to technology, I am generally one of the last to jump onboard. This includes social media sites like Linked In, FaceBook and Twitter. It’s only when half my network sends me half-encouraging and half-threatening emails that I reluctantly join. And, I must admit, that each time I succumb to the “peer pressure” of social networking, I am thrilled I have.
My latest foray into Twitter (find me @ InciteYES) is proving to be an amazing experience! I am blown away, for example, that CEO of Zappos Tony…

I feel like it’s so infrequently these days that we’re moved to tears by inspiring - rather than heartbreaking - stories. On Saturday, I was fortunate enough to attend the book signing for Do Your Giving While You are Living and have such an experience. It was truly a gift to hear from - and later meet - the phenomenal contributors to this book!
Rather than reading the panelists’ impressive bios, the moderator asked that each share a personal story. How did…

I was facing an interesting dilemma this week: whether to stay in Washington on January 20th, the much-anticipated Inauguration Day. The same day for which millions of people are paying thousands of dollars! And it would be FREE for me since I live right here. Except I need to get to a conference in Florida and, unfortunately, it begins the day after. And if I don’t fly on the 20th chances are I’ll miss some of it. So what to…

Just found out that I was quoted in the Smart CEO Magazine the best way possible - through the kindest, most gracious appreciation email from our charity NFTE, the focus of the interview. It’s wonderful to know that business publications are interested in corporate philanthropy and was thrilled to be included in the article!
In case you’re interested in my ponderings on corporate giving, here the interview:
give a little bit: BEING SELFISH BY GIVING BACK
BY JEANINE GAJEWSKI
In tough economic times, corporate giving…

I have to say, for anyone looking to expand their visibility on web, there’s definitely no shortage of opportunities. It’s mind boggling how much time and brain power you can invest into the various ways to promote your business online. At least we can say we’re working ON rather than IN our business, right? Thanks Michael Gerber! My most recent foray into online fame is posting the Incite blog on Techonorati, apparently a must for anyone looking to attract readers…

Among the countless doom and gloom reports and predictions on the current state of economy, some voices still resonate hope. I really enjoyed this recent article in Business Week by my friend Peter Justin. Peter is a sharp, seasoned entrepreneur, not a naive hopeful novice. So I especially trust and appreciate his educated analysis of the market as well as the positive prognosis for today’s smart businesses!

Somehow I got my beach and in-town weekends mixed up and unexpectedly ended up at the Inc. 500 conference on Saturday. Fate was clearly working its magic – of course, it was the perfect place for me to be! Inc. magazine annually recognizes the fastest growing private companies - this conference is intended to celebrate, meet like-minded innovators and learn from gurus like Jim Collins, Seth Godin, Tom Peters and Michael Gerber. Surrounded by other bright, visionary business owners I couldn’t have been more inspired and energized!
